Please, respect sprint orienteering map symbols - do not cross any “impassable fence/wall” or enter any “restricted area”. There will be referees in the terrain - violation of rules is a reason for disqualification!

Start

General public + Regional Cup

11:30 - 13:00

• free start - in 1 minute intervals according to start personnel’s instructions
• at the moment of start, the SI Start box must be punched on start line
• there will be multiple corridors at the start according to category and start number color, please follow instructions given by the start referees

Children Picture Race

10:30 - 12:30

• in event centre, blue tent signposted “Detská trať”
• free start - in 1 minute intervals according to start personnel’s instructions
• Children Picture Race consists of control points with pictures. Kids are supposed to find them in any order. Punching directly into the map.
• On the finish line, their time will be measured, kids will receive St. Nicholas’s surprise from either Angel, Devil or St. Nicolas himself (depending on how they behaved):) as well as a medal.

Orienteering Surprise

In main race classes M-16, W-16, M-18, W-18, M19-, W19-, M40-, W40-, M55-, W55 there will be erased areas similiar to the following example.

Control descriptions

Control descriptions will be printed on the map map. They will also be available in event centre (for some classes).

IMPORTANT: classes M-16, M-18, M19-, M40-, M55-, W-16, W 18-, W19-, W40-, W 55- will only have control descriptions printed on the map!

Course Parameters

All classes have a mandatory marked route (after punching control no. 37) via a pedestrian crossing when crossing the Odborarska street. Please beware of the traffic!

Access

Tram no. 4 - then walk along the Odborarska street 900 m

Trams no. 3, 5 - get off at Bratislava-Predmestie, then cross the railway and walk along Nobelova street 1000 m

Parking

Parking in nearby streets is recommended (see map below). Car access to the school grounds is strictly forbidden!

Please do not enter any restricted area marked in terrain or the park areas around!

Chemical toilets in the competition centre and 2 cabins inside the school.

Changing Rooms

In the school gym. Please take of your shoes before entering!

SI Read-out

In event centre.

After SI read out you will get your St. Nicholas’s surprise and wooden medal.

Refreshments

Hot tea after finish. Great coffee from Caffe Mobil, pancakes and more.

Special Offer

Sanasport will be selling sports wear, shoes and more for discounted prices in the event centre.

Prize-giving Ceremony

at appx. 13:30

General public (except RD) + Regional Cup

small prize and diploma for all competitors in class MW-10, for best three competitors in classes MW-12 up to MW-18, and winners of all other classes

Class RD + Children Picture Race

no prize-giving ceremony; St. Nicholas’s surprise in the finish for everyone; results will be available online

Results in paper form will be continuously updated in event centre. Final results will be published online at: mikulas.vba.sk
