Important: Competitors registered in advance, with their own SI card and already paid fees need not register on-site. They can go directly to start.

Additional entries after deadline or on race-day are only possible within the limits of organizer and without guarantee of a St. Nicholas surprise package.

Start

General public + Regional Cup

11:30 - 13:00

• free start - in 1 minute intervals according to start personnel’s instructions
• at the moment of start, the SI Start box must be punched on start line
• there will be multiple corridors at the start according to category and start number color, please follow instructions given by the start referees

Children Picture Race

10:30 - 12:30

• in event centre, blue tent signposted “Detská trať”
• free start - in 1 minute intervals according to start personnel’s instructions
• Children Picture Race consists of control points with pictures. Kids are supposed to find them in any order. Punching directly into the map.
• On the finish line, their time will be measured, kids will receive St. Nicholas’s surprise from either Angel, Devil or St. Nicolas himself (depending on how they behaved):) as well as a medal.

Orienteering Surprise

In main race classes M-16, W-16, M-18, W-18, M19-, W19-, M40-, W40-, M55-, W55 there will be an orienteering surprise as follows.

This year, the “Cemetery of Controls” will be special:

• the course within the cemetery will be split into several parts
• In each part, only a subset of all controls will be shown

Start symbol in the cemetery is identical with the last control point of the preceding “line” course. Controls in the cemetery are labelled starting from number 1 and they must be punched in this order.

Control descriptions will be printed on the map. They will also be available in event centre (for some classes).

IMPORTANT: classes M-16, M-18, M19-, M40-, M55-, W-16, W 18-, W19-, W40-, W 55- have no control descriptions!

Access

By bus: get off at Malinovo-Bratislavská according to time table via Most pri Bratislave or Ivanka pri Dunaji and Zálesie.

By bike: via Vrakuňa along Maly Dunaj and through the fields

Parking

Parking in front of the school or in nearby streets (see map below).

Restricted Area

Please do not enter any restricted area marked in terrain or the park areas around! Do not enter the park at the main gate! Walk around to reach event centre at the school grounds.

Prize-giving Ceremony

at appx. 13:30

General public (except RD) + Regional Cup

small prize and diploma for all competitors in class MW-10, for best three competitors in classes MW-12 up to MW-18, and winners of all other classes

Class RD + Children Picture Race

no prize-giving ceremony; St. Nicholas’s surprise in the finish for everyone; results will be available online

Results in paper form will be continuously updated in event centre. Final results will be published online at: mikulas.vba.sk
